The latest Illustration Friday topic is Myth, so I revisited some sketches of a Babylonian Sphinx from my trip to the Pergamon Museum for a bit of inspiration. The original pencil drawing is after the jump!
I really wanted to put some bold contrast in the picture, I'm trying to think a lot more about my use of light not only for drama, but to add volume to my drawings.
